Seven juveniles, ranging in age from 12-years-old to 16-years-old, were shot around 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 30th, on West Maryland Street, near South Illinois Street.
Police officers patrolling in the area heard the shots and responded quickly. Six of the children were transported to area hospitals, with a seventh arriving on their own. One child was in critical condition but has been upgraded to stable. All other victims have been labeled stable.
