The importance of proper due diligence

When competition is fierce, sometimes companies make claims that simply aren’t true to secure a contract. It is incredibly important, especially when choosing a life safety system, that you do your own due diligence.

Check with other companies that have the system installed to see what type of experience they have had with it, request a demo yourself, and make sure to test a variety of scenarios. While no system is 100 percent perfect, it is important to know the system’s limitations and prepare for the worst case scenario. No one should be okay with knowing a system has flaws and yet promote it as if it doesn’t.

Here is a prime example of a company making claims that are blatantly untrue. SAFETY Act designation (or certification) does not mean a company has the ability to prevent a terrorist attack from happening. Click here for the article.
