A Charlotte-Mecklenburg district high school student brought a stolen, loaded gun to school. AI weapons detections systems didn’t catch it.

Huntersville Police Department officers found the gun in a backpack after a fight broke out on campus Tuesday.

This the latest example of the limitations of weapons detection systems and that reinforces that schools might need a better solution, or at least a multi-layered solution, when it comes to school safety.
